She’s Packin’ Her Bags
Today, Miss Pea was angry at me. For something. Like making her get dressed for school. Or trying to help. Or something. I forget.
In a fit of rage, she threw down her skirt and yelled “I just can’t take it any more. I hate this life. I’m packing my bags and I’m running away!!!!”
Trying VERY hard not to show a hint of a smile (because you know that just riles them up all the more) I asked where she would go and who she would stay with. I told her I’d miss her very much.
She scowled, then said stonily: “Well, I’m coming back on Monday. Yeah. If it’s ok with you, I’m running away, and coming back of Monday!”
I’m impressed that she asked.

Gmom Phyl did the same at Maddie’s age. I was going to live with the squirrels, and my mother helped me pack my bag. Needless to say, I never left.
Jenn, did you ever do this??

That is awesome!! I love that she was agreeable to returning because you’d miss her – that is impressive:)
She sounds like quite a character:) I DIG!

That child is going to give you blog posts galore! At least she has a plan and she asked first. I agree with @jacquelynn Gardner…if she figures out where to go to hide until Monday ask her if I can come, too.

You have to get that girl in drama class! If she finds out where to go to run away from life until Monday, could she let me know?
