Fill in the Blank Friday – Guilty Pleasures

I really love this particular meme because it is purely fun. Today’s blanks were dreamed up by Miss Shaunie from  Unknown-Boutique, so be sure to check out her blog and give her some bloggie love on her new adventure! (I’m a sucker for thrift store finds, so I’m happy to discover her blog.)

1. The TV show/website that I watch/read that I would be embarrassed to tell anyone about is America’s Next Top Model. It’s definitely an escape from MY reality – why else would I watch a bunch of scrawny, beautiful barely 20year olds have hissy fits and stress over not looking “fierce”? And also because I’m the least photogenic person I know, so if you were a fly on the wall you’d likely catch me “smizing” in the mirror.

2. An item of clothing that is worn and torn but that I love far too much to throw away does not exist. I will confess to putting (into storage) a favorite dress or two which is too small (pre-baby  days) because I’m hoping to one day squeeze into, but anything else that old (and worn and torn) wouldn’t fit me now, and so I’ve purged it. I do a good job of purging the closet seasonally. (Side note: I do have a Mickey Mouse fleece sweatshirt that my friend Nadine would probably offer up for disposal, but it’s safely tucked away and worn only on dog walks.)

3. My grocery store impulse buy is fresh bread. It is my nemesis, but the bread over here is sooooo lovely…..ok, and maybe lemon madeira cake. And Cadbury eggs, since the Easter candy is out.

4. Something I do to pass time that I wouldn’t want my co-workers (I don’t work outside the home, and the dog doesn’t count as a co-worker) friends to know about is also non-existant – I have truly have no “guilty” pleasures that I’m embarrassed about!

5. One thing in my life that I could give up but never will is blogging. My blog has grown (personally) beyond being a means of recording my children’s lovely (and not-so-lovely) moments and is becoming a better expression of me and my madness.

6. A little indulgence I have is curling up on the sofa with a good book, a cup of tea and a McVites dark chocolate digestive.

7. The junk drawer/area in my house is my cloakroom, unfortunately. I have a small storage unit in there, and the drawers, once neatly organized, have now become a mish-mosh of bits and bobs, as has its shelves. The storage cupboard started out only holding cleaning supplies, but other things have found their way in there. I’ve a lot of purging to do before we leave this house when it comes to the cloakroom. This wouldn’t be so bad, but the cloakroom holds the only toilet downstairs – as well as my washer/dryer – so I live in fear of anyone coming over and needing to use the loo.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
