Flashback Friday - Cousins - JennCaffeinated

I stumbled across this photo when going through some old files, perfect for Flashback Friday.

I don’t know if I should admit that the blue TERRY CLOTH outfit I’m wearing was one of my favorites at the time. (Think it may be a holdover from the ’70s, but I’m not sure.) I’m not sure exactly how old it is (other than early 80’s), but it’s a bit depressing as it reminds me exactly how much older I am than my cousin Sarah (yess, that cutie is none other than @prsarahevans, sitting on the lap of @marianslibrary)….although, it IS proof that I once possessed awesome metabolism!

We’ll be heading back to the States for Easter and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to see all of these lovely ladies while I’m back. Don’t we look cool?

It’s so fun how each decade, or the earlier ones anyway, had some very unique styles. I don’t think anyone looked good in the 70’s. Okay maybe I was the only one. Why those clothes have made a comeback is beyond me. You look like you have nice long legs — something I never had either.

I think the 70s and 80s were horrifc, fashionwise and seeing it come back round is just awful, isn’t it? At least the hair didn’t make a comeback…

You know, I look at girls today and think 1) too skinny or 2) too concerned with weight. But really, we were a skinny bunch, eating loads of Count Chocula and Lucky Charms. Was it that then, going to McDs was a special treat & fast food is just a bigger factor in our lives? I wonder ..
