    The Mother’s Day Gift That Keeps on Giving…Laughter

    Yesterday I was trying to take a break from social media and be present and in the moment and all that stuff but today, I really need to share with you the gifts I was given for Mother’s Day.     Funny or Not, Dayton, Here I Come

    One of the first hardcover books I remember truly loving (that wasn’t a children’s classic) was an Erma Bombeck lifted from my mother’s bookshelf.  I was about 10 years old when I read the book – yes, I was a very mature child – but there was something about the dry wit in Erma Bombeck’s writing that I  just “got”.     Reasons My Daughter Is Crying

    One of the funniest Tumblr pages I’ve seen recently is Reasons My Son Is Crying.  I can relate to the accurate and hilarious captions given to the photos of…well….the author’s crying son. Don’t judge me. They really are funny, perhaps due to the honesty of the shots — don’t our children totally lose their tops over the (seemingly) smallest of things?
