What do you get when you give your 9-year-old not-really-a-soccer-fan daughter your banged-up Canon G-11 camera so she doesn’t torment her 11-year-old “eat-sleep-breathe soccer” brother when they are given the (hopefully not) once in a lifetime opportunity to sit on the bench at an MLS game while the teams warm up? Show Me Saturdays: What I See
Most mornings, this is the first thing I see when I open my eyes. There is no need for an alarm clock. Her stomach is more accurate than an atomic clock. On days when my husband is home, she leaves me to sleep. She knows if she tries, I will roll over and ignore her until 6:30 a.m., so she will pester my husband to be let out at 5:30 a.m., every morning, like clockwork. Lists and Goals and Randomness
Isn’t she the cutest stinkin’ thing you ever saw? Where was I??? * * * I like lists. Lists are good. To-do lists? LOVE them. I love the feeling when I can check things off. Completion. Satisfaction. Success. Do you know what I don’t like? Resolutions – I rarely keep them, and then I spend more time berating myself because, yet again, I failed. In all honestly, I do much better at Lent.
