    Bring on the New Year!

I had the best of intentions to write a round up of 2011, but really? I was off at Center Parcs, having fun with my family, and so New Years Eve day had me tied up with unpacking, sorting out the dog from the kennel, laundry…you know where this is headed…   I ran out of time.   And that’s all good.   Overall, it was a pretty good year. Oh, it had its moments to be sure…quite a few posts in the first quake porter of the year revolve around the hazards of NHS dentistry. (Please don’t get me started on the NHS medical care, either…). I’ve had some…

    Fill In The Blank Friday

Woo hoo! It’s Friday! This week has just zoomed by, and after gloomy skies and drizzly rain, the sun is shining and it is glorious outside – just the thing to put me in a snap happy mood. And which also makes me want to fill in some very happy blanks…. The best thing I did all week was have a long heart-to-heart conversation with the Hubs. I Miss That D*mm Car

I think we all have a story or two to tell about our first car. But which car: the one I drove when the State of Illinois granted me my first license? That car technically belonged to my mom. Cruisin’ on Friday nights had a certain “Mr. microphone” element to it, I will…

    When in Rome….or Hay

When by the river in Hay And you don’t have a swimsuit Sometimes, you just have to roll up your trousers And jump right in…. But sometimes, that’s just not enough….and when the little ones nearby stripped to their underpants… Mine did too! Happiness is sitting on the beach in your underpants!

    Welcome to Loserville

Can you see it? The big “L” on my forehead?   It is there because yesterday THIS was delivered to me (cue heavenly choir of cherubs singing):       Yes. It is what you think it is.   It is a cordless electric sweeper.  I know I mentioned that I was getting one in a prior post, but I’m just that excited about getting it that I had to share. (I know you care.) I am ecstatic. I am doing my happy dance. I know, its sad.   I’m a bit of a neat freak, you see. (I think I’ve mentioned this, too…) And with the door opening and…
