Sweet as Pie…or Cupcakes
One of the many things that I have been meaning to write about is this last week’s prompt for Project We:
~ sweet ~
I have a sweet tooth. A big one. I love chocolate. I love cake. I love chocolate cake. I have found a new love in Chocolate covered mint creme Oreo’s that my mom sent over last week (*thanks, Mom*). I can say with all honestly that they are even better than the Girl Scout Thin Mints (which are equally impossible to get over here). And yes, while probably not the most Weight Watcher’s friendly, if I eat my veggies I can leave a few points for a cookie at the end of the day.
Because I’m such a nice mom, my house is fully of lovely, yummy cupcakes. I have done a good job staying away from them, mostly because Pea is happy to share HER cupcakes with me:
Isn’t she sweet? Aren’t they sweet? (We are huge fans of Melissa & Doug toys here – this set features “frosting” markers and washable, removable frosting tops, so she can decorate her cupcakes again and again.) Thankfully, Melissa & Doug cupcakes, as well as their birthday cake and pizza slices have NO calories.
Honestly, my kidlings are sweet. Pea gives “squeezy” hugs that could seriously crack ribs or crush your windpipe. She is my mama’s girl. Boo is kind and thoughtful. This may include some serious bossing and tattling – we finally realized that much of it is driven by a desire to look after her, rather than a need to run everything in her life. Ok, well, maybe that too, but his first concern is that she do everything right.
How sweet is that?
But then, how sweet are they?
Seriously sweet.

Guess what I bought yesterday? Yes, Thin mints. They are on sale now. I love to see those little girls dressed in green standing outside Kroger’s.
