I *HEART* Twitter
Today’s writing prompt asked me to share some of my favorite tweets. I’ve catalogued 10,049 tweets. Obviously, I can’t go through them all, but I did make it through the last year’s worth.
What I found? I tweet a lot about the puppy, my kids, whining, the other wine, and coffee. Don’t believe me?
I find that I tweet quite a bit about my kids, and to be honest? Mostly about my daughter, her tantrums, and the incredibly slow pace with which she approaches life:
Last year, I spent a lot of time tweeting about the puppy and the chaos that follows her:
Thankfully, she has turned into a really lovely (read: non-destructive, housetrained) dog. Which frees me up to bitch about…everything.
However, it’s not all complaining. Sometimes, I just need to share:

(And yes, that is a missed typo. My iPhone and predictive text get the best of me.)
I do get into some interesting conversations….
(I have also come to the conclusion that I use the word “shit” entirely too much.)
Sometimes, I tweet with “famous” people….such as when Michael Ian Black lamented on how much he hates music (while in Austin, at the SXSW conference – surrounded by great music):
And sometimes, they even tweet back!
Seriously, the Hubs does not get Twitter. Or why I Tweet. And that’s ok. It’s not about him. (Well, some of the tweets are, but whatevs.) It lets me connect with people; I tweeted with people in this bit of the UK before even moving here, I’ve found new blogs (and bloggers, of course), get fast answers to burning questions, heck, I’ve even been alerted to winning prizes:
I do love twitter. Mostly because it has led to me to the realization that I’m relatively normal (read: moderately crazy). I do not claim to be the funniest, most prolific, or most clever. No. I don’t have enough time on my hands for that. The reality is, some of the funniest tweets are posted by those who, perhaps, didn’t intend it to be funny.
With that, I offer you Amanda Palmer (@amandapalmer) singing her selection of the year’s most amusing tweets. Accompanied by the ukelele. Of course.

I do get many a laugh from your tweets. The ones you picked to feature are too funny. I wanted to do this prompt too, but it was a little too hectic a week with starting the new job.
Based on some RT’s and @’s i got, i think my best tweet was probably somethinge like this:
Thank God the new TV season starts tonight. Don’t the networks know my hubs & I ran out of shit to talk about months ago.
Georgia Girls
