and the winner is….
So. I’m a bit late to announce the winners of my giveaways…but I’ll do that in just a few.
The initial reason for the delay was that I fell into a deep well of self-pity, as I only had 13 – yes, THIRTEEN – comment/entries on my blogoversary post. “Pity party of one, your table is ready”.
But then family arrived from the US and we have been spending our time at the Hay Festival…and really, after listening to all these brilliant writers speak, I felt a bit inadequate as I sat down late at night with my laptop. Yes, I’m one of those – instead of hearing the message “just keep at it”, I tend to beat myself up; the same way a (in hindsight, really bad) art teacher at University made me feel like I was inadequate, resulting in me changing my major from Art to..um…Finance.
But, just as sketching with my children in some of the Hay Fever events made me realize how much I miss drawing, being away from the blog has let me know how much I miss writing – and how badly I really want to work at writing better.
So. Back to the giveaway.
Since there were SO few entries, using the random number generator seemed pointless. Instead, I let my kidlings draw names from a hat.
And the winners are:
Not Blessed Mama wins a box of Fran’s Chocolates…and SheilaR wins the scrummy Gower Cottage brownies! I’ll be contacting you both shortly to get your details! Thanks, ladies – and thanks to everyone who entered. I’d love to send you all something….

No way! I thought I was the only one who had pity parties that no one else attended. I have no excuse for not commenting, other than I might have been away at sea aboard the USNS Comfort in Jamaica and Peru. Please forgive me for not visiting sooner after my return. I look forward to your posts with mamakat.

Thank you – especially to your children and their pulling out of a hat skills :)) See I manage to stay off the internet for a couple of days and this happens – maybe it’s trying to tell me something ;-))

I figured you could use a nearly new one. It even smells like it was just printed yesterday. It’s indestructible. Not chocolate, but….
