Fill in the Blank Friday: The Travel Edition
1. My favorite place I’ve ever traveled to is impossible to narrow down to just one….how about 3? Peter Island, in the British Virgin Islands (because that is where I went for my honeymoon, and it was AMAZING), Italy (Rome, Florence…actually, everywhere I’ve been there), and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
2. Tahiti is somewhere I’d love to go someday. On a cruise, of course. And New Zealand. And the Galapagos Islands. And…
3. I pass the time on a plane (or bus, or car ride or train) by reading. I’m rarely without my iPad (which means my Kindle app).
4. My three must-haves when I travel are my camera, my iPad… and a sense of humor.
5. My favorite travel companion is the Hubs, but we’re considerate and take our kids with us. (Although, if I could leave them with grandma…)
6. The craziest thing that ever happened to me while traveling is having a tire blow out on the airplane as we were taking off – although better before we took off then after!
7. The most exotic food I’ve ever tried while traveling is kudu (sausages) and oryx (steaks) at a barbeque in Namibia. (Tasted like venison…
8. If I could live anywhere else, I’d live in North Carolina….I really need to get away from snow and cold, and Italy wouldn’t suck, but I think my kidlings would really like to go back to Illinois eventually.
9. I have been to twenty-one states in the U.S. (Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, California, Arizona, New Mexico and of course, Illinois.)
